This is a short black and white silent film made around the 1950”s at Loch Garten showing the 1-3 years when Loch Garten was the only place in the UK where Ospreys nested when they returned to breed/nest Again i can remember seeing this very short film when it was firsh shown!.

I though my own thread about the Ospreys and a short 6 minute black and white silent film about the return of the Ospreys in the late 1950’s/or early 1960’s! Loch at that time was the only place in the UK where Osprey nested after a long absence nesting in the UK.

Roy Dennis now believes that the ospreys were never away. There were reports of an osprey carrying a fish to a nest in 1947 but it was not believed at the time. Roy Dennis now says that he believes it to true.
