HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MONTH
I hope everyone has a joyful week.
I saw a female turkey in a tree today, the wild woodland species, not a domesticated bird. She was huge and beautiful!
The thing about our neighbour is that she has a firm of gardeners who come to keep things tidy for her both in the back & front gardens, but she suddenly seems to have decided that we should be cutting her side as well as our own -- my OH wasn't actually cutting ours at the time, so he now thinks that she must have been thinking about this for a while. Why, we don't know.
Edit: And it's upset him. She is about my age, but knows that my OH is approaching 80 and in a while may have to employ someone himself to do things. He certainly doesn't need extra work.
Meanwhile, here are some more pics of our hols.
We were surprised, after going to this island for so many years (since 1996) to notice a green tinge to parts of the landscape. We were told that there had been thunderstorms and heavy rain in the week before, which I suppose meant that a lot of tiny bits of vegetation had sprung into life! Nature is pretty amazing.....
The roads are modern apart from the tiny farm tracks, which are a no go area in a hire car!
Approaching a small town.
The little car we went around in! The registration plate said "MBC" as part of the number, so I said it stood for My Big Car! My OH was embarrassed as it struggled up the longer hills, and a queue formed behind us!
