Good morning, all. Well, I've finally caught it - but if Helen and Limpy weren't ill I'd think I'd caught a cold. I'm chucking the tablets at it in the hope it'll go away soon.

Fingers crossed CLARE. Hope it doesn't hit too hard.

Clare - I am so sorry you have caught it. I do hope it is nothing more than a cold and cough. Such a nuisance though. Take care all of you there.
Lindy - is it today you are going on holiday? Have a lovely time.
Nice and sunny here. Later I am going to try to do the bit of gardening I was rained off from yesterday.

HEATHER: Yup, I'm still in the city. I'll come home Monday or Tuesday. My friends are due home in the wee hours tomorrow. Frosty cold in my state. High winds and very low humidity (odd for Indiana), so we've been under a rare RED FLAG Warning for fire conditions. Hope you don't get Covid.

Diane:  Good lord, a red flag warning? Thought they only happened in the West.  Meanwhile, the sun is shining here at the coast for the first time in a week.  Chilly though by CA standards.

Not yet.  I'm the one it's being kindest to - Helen and Limpy are really suffering.  I hope it won't be much longer before they see real improvement.

Just got an e-mail from a friend who has arrived back in the U.S. after a UK visit - and has Covid. Not sure how I made it there and back in the summer and managed to avoid it, even after being stuck at Heathrow Airport for four hours, though I did wear a mask....
