Makov Animal Rescue Station
One of our favourites.
The Pond cam has remained throughout the year, with new-to-us maturing cygnets and fawns still at the bottle-feeding stage:
No table manners !!!
The second cam has been a White Stork nest, which I have not been following during Osprey season. The nest is very close to the ground because the Storks can't fly!
Today I find that the second cam has reverted to the birdie feeder we love - except it's been totally refurbished! (Wish they'd zoom out just a teeny tad.) Improved sound !!! And look who popped in a few seconds after I started the download
This was an incidental I came across on BirdwatchingHQ (you know how he hosts lots of cams unrelated to his own):
"Nocturnal thieves..."
IMAGICAT
Oh yes, LoL indeed definitely a Sparrow Hawk , female (although it's difficult to judge the size unless a blackbird happens to chance its luck )but if it's expecting breakfast to fly into its beak it will be disappointed .it should be skulking in shrubbery or etc. I do hope it didn't spot a wee birdie at the end and give chase ,
Very well caught Scylla and thank you. I didn't know if the white splodges were feathers to still colour up - leucistic - or just a moult
Thank you, TREVOR

Apparently white splodges of varying sizes and places are characteristic of Sparrowhawks - but they don't have to have them... I think!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I've been waiting for the little Redpolls to multiply and they started to today:
.
The LG feeder continues routinely except I didn't notice a Crestie yesterday.
Sweet little Redpolls. Thanks Scylla
Crestie had a good session late afternoon. Two female GSWs at the LG feeder - the one on the perch had to give up and leave:
Oh boy, these are gorgeous and look like a very skilful painting. I have a 2022 calendar of pictures painted by mouth or foot artists, absolutely amazing and perfection, like these two little woody peckers. Thanks Scylla.
Kookaburra
I've been notified twice that it's live, but each time I check I get this:
,
Boreal Ontario
Tammie was scraping the last of the peanut butter, Chickadee snuck in, waited a little while, gave up and left (but was soon back):
Very glad to know the little birdie was back soon. Thanks for that Scylla. The Blackbirds are finally returning to my garden and skulk in the shrubbery when I fling sultanas around on my lawn and then venture out when I close my garden doors.
