Makov Animal Rescue Station
One of our favourites.
The Pond cam has remained throughout the year, with new-to-us maturing cygnets and fawns still at the bottle-feeding stage:
No table manners !!!
The second cam has been a White Stork nest, which I have not been following during Osprey season. The nest is very close to the ground because the Storks can't fly!
Today I find that the second cam has reverted to the birdie feeder we love - except it's been totally refurbished! (Wish they'd zoom out just a teeny tad.) Improved sound !!! And look who popped in a few seconds after I started the download
This was an incidental I came across on BirdwatchingHQ (you know how he hosts lots of cams unrelated to his own):
"Nocturnal thieves..."
IMAGICAT
The dear little Chickadees have to wait for the snow to be cleared, even tho it's only a thin layer:
Well I'm glad that some chickadees had the common sense to try the feeders. Thanks Scylla
Last evening the LG peanut feeder was topped up, here's a roughly-cut FF of the event:
53s
Boreal Ontario
Didn't see any early Chickadees, it was all Common Redpolls early in the morning - then a few Pine Grosbeaks joined in and there was no conflict:
Tammie decided to make a change, leavng the seeds in separate "groups":
That put paid to little flocks for some time. Blue Jays, Crows and a Squirrel popped in and out individually, and the peanuts soon disappeared:
These didn't make a dent:
nothing common about beautiful redpolls.
How did little blue jay fly with such a large beakful ! Tiny beak by comparison . Enjoyed the captures. Thanks Scylla
I started the Glaslyn PC cam again yesterday, as I'd seen mention of Whooper Swans on their FB page, I think - none seen on cam tho.
Lovely Glaslyn trees in the sunshine:
The Mute Swan couple still rules the river
A Blackbird made a rare appearance on the LG feeder:
Boreal Ontario - a brand new jumbo jar of Peatnut Butter:
Lovely Glaslyn trees indeed . The capture looks like a painting - truly lovely Scylla .and Mr BB looks so bandbox - moult definitely over .Thank you, I shall look forward to any Whoppers who show their beaks.
Glaslyn Heron:
Had to capture this because the pixels cleared for a few seconds only - the Glaslyn Mute Swan couple:
Little Owl, Hungary
A sub-5-minute clip (not mine) inside a nestbox with 2-3 owlets in it - it's quite slow but there are a couple of hee-hees in it:
Looks like the Whooper Swans have stopped off at Glaslyn:
