Continued from Manton Bay July 2022

The season so far: Maya returned 15 March @ 10:21 & Blue 33(11) on 21 March @ 17:29. Egg #1 laid 31 March @ c 23:30 & hatched 09 May @ 23:02, Egg #2 laid 03 April @ 18:31 & hatched 10 May @ 12:30 and Egg #3 laid 06 April @ 20:30 & hatched 12 May @ 08:24. On 20 June the chicks were ringed with their unique blue darvics. Chick #1 was fitted with 1H1, #2 with 1H2 and #3 with 1H3. All chicks were females and their biometric data can be found here. 1H1 fledged on 2 July @ 05:34, 1H3 on 3 July @ 12:09 and 1H2 on 4 July @ 09:06.

So 1H1 is still here :-)
05:02 One of the juvelines appears on the nest. Cannot see the darvic but I know it is 1H1 by the time LOL and also 1H1 has the appearance of some puckering under her beak.
picks up a fish that has been lying overnight
1H1 enjoys a good undisturbed breakfish
05:43 She finishes and first sighting of the darvic - it is 1H1. She has been like clockwork appearing around 5am
05:45 Maya arrives and takes the fish
1H1 flies off and Maya soon follows with the fish
06:38 1H1 returns as Maya eats
1H1 tucks into more fish as Maya flies off
close up of 1H1 is now 96 days old
07:08 1H1 finishes and flies off leaving the fish on the nest
07:25 33 arrives with a fresh fish
stands for a while waiting to see if anyone wants it
08:12 33 then flies off with the fish - the other left on the nest
Hopefully we see 1H3 soon and see gets some fish too.

1H1 arriving wet at the nest, shaking off the water and taking 2 dives after wich ripples appear on the lake.. skimming the water a few times later.Is she taking diving practice for fish... or just having fun?
