All quiet on the Osprey front. Mistle started gently food soliciting, then quiet, then stood up to reveal.........
,, what appeared to be a half eaten rainbow trout! No doubt Scylla will be able to get a much sharper image than me. All this happened about 5:45. It was as stiff as a board. When was that delivered?
Afrer faffing around getting images 1 of them has come back to the nest and is incubating - can't tell which.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
The site is seizing up again in these early hours.
Axel took the fish (as reported by CC) after false starts and faffing, then brought it back @ 03:02 and Mistle fed the chicks, #2 getting very little if anything.
(01:38 Mistle had a flyabout - I could just get a hazy view with massive lightening.)

Well done Axel my boy, what a size. It does not look that too big until Mistle starts to drag it round down the nest!
A huge whole salmon....... ooppps sorry CRinger, brown trout. That should keep them full until morning.
I will ignore the salmon cimments, but LOVE the way you claim ownership of YOUR boy! Hope you are prepared to share him!
Oh go on then I will share him with everyone

Mistle has spent quite a lot of time off the chicks, the weather must be kinder - tho you can't tell from the sound, with the mike still picking up the wind so efficiently. Both she and Axel have brought in sticks, nothing spectacular but Axel, for reasons known only to himself, plonked a small twiggy stick on one of the chicks:
16.47 Axel brings whole fish.
