Just as we had hoped, the middle of May proved to be a wonderful time with three successful hatches. Laddie, with his prolific fishing skills, is providing extremely well for his family and NC0’s attentive feeding for all three Osplets, is an absolute joy to watch! Let's hope everything continues to go well.

Yes, I can understand why. I'm sticking with #1 female and #2 male only because the latter appears to be a little bit slimmer
Absolutely, I can't wait to read the blog and see the pics tomorrow!

Besides this stream being switched off I've had several internet outages throughout the day, so frustrating today of all days.
Hoping for some super photo opportunities tomorrow - in the meantime, thank you SANDRA and all!

Update from LotL: Young ospreys LP8 & LR0: The oldest of the pair has been given the blue Darvic ring LP8 and the younger chick is ringed LR0. These rings are on their lower left legs, which will help identify them in future as ospreys which have come from a nest in Scotland. Sometimes it is possible to determine at the sex of juvenile ospreys during ringing, based on the thickness of their legs. This year it was simply too close to call. photo Keith Brockie
