I did a huge "hatch's progress" video this morning but was almost comatose so couldn't post it here before "packing up" (that's a euphemism for "crashing out"). Also, I didn't caption the times on the way thru and meant to add some uncropped clips to include the timeline... it all takes so long
Karen W said:hmm ... not sure about it being 09:30 as seemed a little earlier however they have a better view as to when it was actually clear of the shell (which I suppose technically is "hatch") but hey ho what does it matter we have three chicks :-)
I thought that #3 was virtually hatched when Maya got up @ 08:34!
But, as you say, KAREN, "What does it matter? We have three chicks".
And #3 wasn't slow to go for a bite!

Morning ALL
SANDRA: you're welcome :-)
SCYLLA - thanks for your #3 hatching video which is identical to my still posted of #3 hatching @ 08:34 !! Good to have another opinion and I doubt we are both wrong so am going to record the hatch as 08:34 :-)

I am very pleased indeed to have been useful, Karen.
13 May
Only 2 were up for feeding just now, but I have to replay the whole feed because the third was leaning on its siblings but blocked for the snap:
catchup
06:14 FISH!
06:15 All bobs up and Maya begins to feed
fish appears to be alive !!
Oh no, here we go again
06:16 Fish loose and its tail is flapping on one chick
Maya pulls it out - it is flapping and goes back over the chicks
it flaps again and Maya standing
I can see 2 bobs and then Maya moves in to cover
Oh No - Maya down on the chicks and fish
c) LRWT
Perhaps she is trying to smother the fish!!
But I hope all chicks are OK
catchup cont:
06:23 Maya broods and the fish is out from under her and at the side
07:00 33 arrives, grabs the fish and flies off with it
07:18 33 returns with the fish
Another feed gets underway
All bobs up, OK and getting their breakfish
