MANTON BAY - MAY 2022

I'd just like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone for the pics, posts and videos. As Korky said earlier, likewise, I've had a horrid feeling in the pit of my stomach all day (at work) and couldn't watch or catch up with posts during my lunch break. Everything is crossed for this nest.

Maya has spent some time sorting out the nest from the lying position, and looked full of beans, but once she was settled in the cup yet again her head drops and her eye shuts. Having said that she does look brighter, she is moving about more. Head up, head down, paddle beneath, check underneath moving a twig or two, shuts eyes again and head drops, but she gets up again. Could #3 be making noises which is disturbing her? She is so fidgety.

Time to consider my meal too. SYL

After their top-up, Maya soon gets back on top of the chicks - wise to keep them warm!

Maya and both chicks have eaten some fish.

What a day for poor Maya and the chicks. It is good that the wee one is eating again, hopefully it will get stronger and do well. All that wind and rain, Maya was soaked, hopefuly that was all that was wrong and she too will be okay.

It rather depends which weather you look at, but tomorrow should be pleasant. Sunny until midday and dry, so pleasant for them all! Things look far more positive than they did this morning. Both chicks have been fed and Maya looks brighter if not A1.

As I got unpacked-up I refreshed the MB screen and couldn't believe my eyes !!!  TWO bobblers !!!

I had no hope whatsoever, what do I know?  What a little battler, what a lesson it's taught me
