AX6 Axel and his lovely unringed partner Mistle are bonding well, and Mistle has been threatening to lay an egg - we await developments.
It seems that Mistle has been on the perch & nest all night:

Well done Axel, it looks like an old thin fish but anything is good. Maybe he squashed it.
It must have been a decent size originally, and being positive I guess the tail end of this size is a decent meal.

12.55 Axel nest cups. I am sure I can hear Mistle calling in the background - communicating? Axel is calling 12.57 Axel continues calling for the return of the fish, cheeky boy! He prowls the nest, much as Mistle does. 12.59 Axel flew over the nest to our right.

I'm off for a while.
Just tuned in to see Mistle return to the nest, followed by Axel for a good solid mating.
I see on chat that Mistle returned a bit of fish to him a little while ago. She's begun a bit of soliciting. She looks well fed.
