AX6 Axel and his lovely unringed partner Mistle are bonding well, and Mistle has been threatening to lay an egg - we await developments.
It seems that Mistle has been on the perch & nest all night:

I don't think that Axel's been in yet - it's too misty to see the old nest area.
Exaggerated colours:
Axel's here now, trying to mate. I won't attempt snaps or vids until the site speeds up.
I know there's an apostrophe missing above but am not going there... :(((
I just had to "go there" on 04 March 2024
9.36am, both on the nest. Axel standing and Mistle lying in the nest cup gently calling. Will we have an egg soon, I think so. Because this is all new to this pair, it's almost as if one is looking after the other, her not really knowing what is happening and him staying with her as he also senses something is different. It is all so exciting, fingers crossed this is going to be a happy day and the beginning of good times.
Edit, by time I wrote this, he has flown and she is on the perch.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Oh dear, it is dreadfully slow this morning.

1 May 2022 - where has April gone? Since 16 April the relationship between Mistle and Axel has developed well for their first year at LG. 29 April saw the multiple exchanges of a fish for the first time.
10.13 a much nicer start to the day, than it ended y'day evening. Sunny, but very quiet generally
10.17 Mistle took off to the left. No sign of Axel
