Many thanks to AG who wrote this preface to the Llyn Brenig thread for us (below)
Llyn Brenig is a reservoir on the border between Denbighshire and County Conwy in North Wales. It is managed by Welsh Water; the osprey project is a partnership between them and North Wales Wildlife Trust.
One pair of ospreys raised a single chick here each year from 2018-2020. Neither of this pair returned in 2021, when the nest was taken over by 2 Scottish birds, LJ2 (male) and LM6 (female), both 2018 chicks. The nest was vandalised the night after LM6 had laid her first egg; while the two could not continue to breed they did stay close to the site until normal migration time.
A new nest has been erected in 2022 with additional security and a streaming camera is in place. A new hide has also been built.

Fish delivered a couple of hours ago Think it might have been headless
From scrolling back, first fish of the day arrives at 10.02. Headless, like Patily said.
LM6 has a quick changeover taking the fish from LJ2 and starts to feed the chicks who are sitting waiting.
The feed lasts around 20 minutes, with chick #1 retiring first.
chick #2 stays with LM6 for a little more.
LJ2 arrives back at the nest at 10.40 to take away the remaining part of the fish.
11.20 LJ2 returns with the half eaten fish.
This time the fish is fully eaten.
13.24 LJ2 landed on the nest. LM6 politely shouted at him “Get me a fish!”
15.26 LJ2 duly obliges with delivery of a lovely trout.
My goodness, they woofed that down. All gone in 25 minutes!
Around 16.47 LJ2 brings in fish #3. He decides to stay on the nest to eat the head.
Chick #1 tries several times to peck at the head of the fish too but LJ2 kept retreating.
LM6 waited patiently to choose her moment to take the fish and feed the chicks.
