All quiet on the Osprey front but all delighted to be able to watch the NEW nest on the NEW cam. Thanks to all for the hard work erecting / installing both. You derserve a sucessful breeding pair this year for your efforts.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
I should have posted a snap of Mistle's "attack":

She still hasn't let him have the fish but he seems OK with that and has been pottering, currently on the perch. I'm wondering if there's still an intruder around.
I shall be away for a while, attending to dometic stuff and maybe taking a nsp.

Finally some harmony between them on the nest

Man that Mistle has some voice on her! What a screching she had when she got the fish, maybe she was that excited that Axel brought her one, he was a bit lost looking at her. She makes a right funny grunt noise as well, never noticed that before unless an Osprey was laying an egg. Poor Axel, me thinks he is going to have some time with this one!
Edit, and so will we, we will need to get the ear plugs out!
Axel seemed to spend quite a bit of time this afternoon on his own, standing, pottering, fetching more sticks, some of which were larger than twiggy sticks!
15.49 Mistle found some discarded fish on the nest and kept it to herself
She had it in her talons here, Axel creeps forward but Mistle said no!
The tail fin goes down
Mistle started fish soliciting, so Axel flew
He returned with some grassy material - he came down behind her and moved by her side
He flew up and returned to mate
She has been on her own since, but has started calling so he is presumably within sight.
