All quiet on the Osprey front but all delighted to be able to watch the NEW nest on the NEW cam. Thanks to all for the hard work erecting / installing both. You derserve a sucessful breeding pair this year for your efforts.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Recap - the morning from dawn to lunchtime, not comprehensive - someone might like to get some movie clips of what went on

Skydancing, while the females continue to battle it out
Just popping in for a cuppa. It must be so exhausting for them and all arm chair viewers. 16.54 Mistle/Unringed landed looking very on edge, keeping an eye all around the flew off 16.56. 16.57 LOL she landed on the nest, followed by Axel who immediately wanted hanky panky. He was given short shrift as she kept an eye on the skies. He flew off, then she did. I saw two birds in the sky, but whether that was BTO v our female or our female and BTO I have no idea.
17.00 Axel lands with another very twiggy twig, puts it down and breaks off some of the twigs! I love this character!

17.08 Unring/Mistle is back,
17.09 Axel flies to the nest but is in the way.
BTO's croaky call is heard
17.09 She flaps him off and leaves chasing what I assume is BTO. The other bird was seen as a glance top left. It is Mistle/Unring seen here

Unring has been on the nest for a while. She's fish calling occasionally but not with the same gusto as before. She must be exhausted battling with the ringed female. Axel has hopefully gone to fish but it's windy and he may struggle. I don't think she's had one from him yet so he needs to deliver.
