All quiet on the Osprey front but all delighted to be able to watch the NEW nest on the NEW cam. Thanks to all for the hard work erecting / installing both. You derserve a sucessful breeding pair this year for your efforts.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
The goshawk attack was amazing, particularly as there was wonderful footage of one on the Clywedog nest a few days ago. Does anyone remember one on the LG nest before. I think goshawks live in forests so the ideal location for one.
Re the goshawk/Axel interaction, just for my clarification, was it the gos on the old nest tree, and Axel attacked it? Good for him!
13.31 Axel is on the lookout perch!!

He's been at the nest for a long time today, on and off, and on the perch. He's brought fish (the same piece, a few times), seen off a goshawk, and continues to tweak the sticks, and bring new ones, always with a cheery chirp. I'm sure we all want to see him attract a female soon!
SKYDANCING!!!!
He's maybe away to catch a new fish now
