I think this will be an interesting season at Loch Arkaig - who is going to take residence is the big question?
For me it doesn't matter who, just as long as the nest is occupied.

Phew I think I need lessons again on the ins and outs of the workings of the forum LOL....
On checking my files this was one of the Osprey touch downs on the nest, I wonder where it went???

I didn't keep close touch with this nest last season and don't recall that almost-Odin-like pretty bird
Thank you for starting the new season, MARY!

This is the handsome young chap first called The Stranger, then Prince, now known as YP the Young Pretender, who seems to have paired up with Blue 152 now known as Affric after her natal area Glen Affric. They teased us by visiting the nest several time and practising their mating skills, his needed work!, before moving off. Lewis found a dangerously constructed wild nest with infertile eggs about the time YP & Affric started turning up here again. It's thought that was their nest. So, perhaps this pair will take up residence here this year.
Affric and YP return to Loch Arkaig 9th July 2021
Just like LG and Poole Harbour, only even more fulsome and vigorous?

Blissfully quiet, no more microphone hiss, Scylla!
A nice little wren visited this morning. You may need your glasses on to spot it.
