2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

Before bedtime NC0 was tending the nestcup, then Laddie came in for a final mating of the day (pn the nest, anyway), a bit later she flew:
The cam shifted to the left with some judders :-/
Ins and outs since, she's been in the nestcup several times and ben on the perch, flew off - oh I've forgotten the time and have to get going with kitchen and bathroom things.

Laddie gave chase, Scylla.

Laddie came back to the nest and then, after a while, took off to chase a goose who was honking close by!
It's no wonder NC0 can't settle
10:59 Mating. NC0 was on the nest calling for fish just beforehand
Just happened in here. She's calling for fish again. Such sweet yet definitely persistent tones escalating in volume!

16:26 NC0 was unreponsive to Laddie's mating attempt
Fish, at long last! 16:33
Her left wing feathers are in disarray. She still has that displaced feather
She headed to the birch to eat
17:05 NC0 returned to the nest without any of the fish
17:07 Another refusal from NC0 when Laddie attempted to mate with her. She made a gesture to peck him off
17:12ish NC0 took off. Sounded like Laddie chipping from above the cam as NC0 flew over the Loch
18:07ish NC0 refused to let Laddie to mate with her again!
18:12
18:13 Laddie chipping from above the cam. NC0 stays in the nest cup
