2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

The latest LotL blog
Crowded House: Intruding Ospreys at Loch of the Lowes
Scrolling back, the unringed female visited the nest again at approx. 13:52
Laddie was on the nest; NC0 on the birch. Laddie looked skyward and flapped his wings before taking off
Female intruder landed
NC0 had started her flight from the birch
Intruder saw her and shot off to the left; NC0 followed her
Both came back into view and the chase continued, to the right, over the Loch
19:50 A headless fish delivery. Laddie had been eating on the birch
She flew off with it towards the birch, made a short circular flight in that area over the Loch before landing on the feeding branch
I have changed the title of this thread so that April's activities can be recorded here too. I hope that's ok with everyone?
Look whose there tonight. C SWT
