2021 return dates: LM12 (Laddie) - 21st March; NC0(16) - 25th March
Laddie and NC0 were an exceptional team during 2021, successfully raising two very feisty and well fed juveniles, LR1 and LR2. LR2 was sighted in Southern Spain on 3.9.21 and again on 25.10.21
2022 marks Laddie's 11th breeding year, NC0's 3rd, and very much hope that our wonderful pair have a safe, spring migration back to this stunning nest location at Loch of the Lowes.

Once NC0 had left the nest with the fish, Laddie took it upon himself to do some nestorising and nest scraping before heading off at 19:54ish

Cathy said:Can't believe we haven't got an egg yet Sandra.
I know, Cathy, I thought she would have laid by now. Last season, the first egg was laid 17 days after her return. With today being the 16th day since she came back, hopefully either tonight or tomorrow we'll see the first egg of this season. Fingers crossed!

You're very welcome, Scylla.
Enjoy your nap
No-one's on the nest again tonight and there's a lot of buffering :( I've just had a quick skim thru several pages - thank you for hard work, Sandra! I've been struggling all day today, hope to perk up after a sleep.
Sorry to hear you've been struggling, Scylla, hope you managed a good rest. Here's a short video of the mating after the lunchtime intruder alert.
09 April
Good morning, thank you for good wishes, girls - feeling brighter, guaranteed for the next 5 minutes at least ;-D
Laddie landed first, followed by NC0 17 mins later - mating:
That was a good one:
NC0 flew out to the birch @ 05:54:
Both soon back:
Here's a very rought cut of that mating and the intrusion that followed - female? as NC0 was the main mantler:
Cam went down about 07:45. No new URL yet.
