HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY FULL MOON!

The Full Moon is Wednesday, 16 February.

Here's what happened to me on Thursday evening. I thought you all might enjoy the story.

My toaster oven is on my enclosed porch (the electricity is newer and stronger there). After dark in the evening, I walked out on the porch to make a grilled cheese sandwich ("cheese toastie") for my supper. Right after I turned on the light, I heard a long, slow howl outside the front door. It was a coyote! It only howled once, and then I heard it move through the snow. It must have been warning its mate and any young that are still with them. Coyotes mate in February here, so they're active right now. They pair for life. The howl was powerful!

Ps My OH had a back molar removed but has recovered very well. Had to make him wait for his coffee to cool before drinking it, afterwards, on orders of the dentist "No hot drinks for a few hours!"

No :-( My tongue is sore and so is my upper lip, as the broken remains are sharp. Still hoping for a cancellation appointment to come up before I'm scheduled -- for April!!

Good morning: hope all who had any problems through the storms are okay today and managing to clean up; watch out for trees which may be loosened but not yet toppled! All okay here.

LINDA – I hope your OH had a safe and successful visit to dentist yesterday. Sorry you are having to wait so long for yours!; can’t they file off the sharp edges to make it more comfortable?

ANNETTE – your Daughter must have been thrilled about the ecstatic welcome from Pearl – but I seem to remember rather larger than a usual lap-dog! I think the pit-bull case in your locality would probably have had a fast police reaction over here, where Pit Bulls are technically banned. Well done with shoe purchase (glad I don’t have the bother of finding shoes – just can’t fit any!

Good to hear everyone has recovered from the storm winds, it sounded horrific. If this is the beginning of the battle between winter and spring, we all better batten down the hatches. On the other hand, I loved the snowdrops.
