CAPTIVA OSPREYS - Andy & Lena
I'd been posting in "Forum Friends", here's a snap brought over, for the sake of starting this thread with something!
IMAGICAT
Tweed Valley
11 April
5h41m up to 15:48 - no Ospreys seen.
1h36m started 2 minutes later...
16:40 Osprey landed, stayed 25 minutes, mostly on the large limb, had a slight potter on the nest midway:
Flew off from the limb @ 17:14.
Thanks, Scylla. So, this one today is blue ringed on the left leg? The one from your 8th April recording appeared to have a blue ring on its right leg.

That's great to hear, Alan, thank you. He was the next 'late' one on the UK Osprey site.

That's very thoughtful of you, Richard, and you are quite right - but I can't resist asking for details - especially as there is a blue (or any colour) ring involved. Also, some cams are easier than others to cope with, so I may take stock on that basis.
I'm going to take a break shortly.
Unknown said:I won't say too much about this one unless asked, but I see there is another Scottish webcam up and running with a pair of Ospreys in attendance, and one is blue ringed on left leg The camera is streeaming on You-tube I think Scylla has enough webcam to follow as it is !!!!
Ooohh, Richard, don't tempt me!!! Is it the Alyth nest? I am not sure I have the time, but I can always pop in!!

It is worth reading the text which describes the history of the nest and how, in discussion with Roy Dennis, it was moved to a new position.
