Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

I particularly liked seeing the one of 96 flying with his fish and settling on the nearby perch for that was the last time we saw him eat a substantial meal on the nest. On the webcam, we saw him fly off with the fish and just wonderful seeing him off cam with it. Here is a link to the 14th, the day you visited, within the thread
