  • She has perched by 096 think she has fish waiting to see if she eats!

  • Maya has the fish and is eating alongside 096! Thank goodness! Lovely to see will try and do a pic for you to see.
  • Maya now on her perch with the very well travelled fish!! She can enjoy now!

  • Thank you Karen. So your pasting rather than posting!! :-) it'll be worth it when it's done and look lovely.
Yes was concerned seeing the position on site yesterday it looked very worrying! Perhaps it will get better but it is easy to see how a nest can soon become unsettled even if the parents are really top class birds!
33 has come down from the tree and is sitting with Maya on her perch perhaps hoping for some leftovers! Awwww so nice to see a bit of calm restored.
  • Interesting that Maya flew to the nest with the fish but did not relinquish the fish to 095 but held onto it then flew off with it back to her perch and continued to eat it! Teaching 095 a lesson perhaps? 095 lifted off the nest shortly afterwards quite awkwardly and for a minute looked very uneasy on her wings! She gained composure and to the fallen tree. From observation she is not yet confident in the air and only seems to land on the nest or dead tree! 096 seems more capable and he lands on a perch and in the tree perhaps sat with dad nearby for security.
Gosh it's still torrential we had to move to back of the hide!
  • I wonder Karen if 096 fish he was eating on the perch was the one he took from the nest this morning and he managed to fly with it and land so it wasn't passed to him by Maya or 33? It will be interesting to see where Maya takes this fish if she has some left! The nest or to 096 on the perch who is also fish calling! I suspect it'll be the nest in keeping with the instinct she's born with.
  • Maya to the nest 095 gets the fish, Maya washes her feet, 096 fish calling still, 095 to fallen tree not sure if she managed to keep the fish!
  • Yes 095 has the fish and is eating.
096 continues to call for a fish.
    Maya on campost drying off.
33 up in tree hopefully thinking about going and getting himself and son some tea!
