Continued from Manton Bay – June 2021.

The season so far: On 19 March, Blue 33(11) returned at 12:29 and Maya at 12:52. Three eggs were laid, #1 on 30 March at 11:45, #2 seen on 2 April at 07:34 and #3 on 5 April at 07:05. Sadly only two eggs hatched, the first chick on 8 May at 19:51 and the second on 10 May at 19:48, one egg being unviable. The chicks were ringed on 19 June. Chick #1, a male, was fitted with the blue darvic 096 and Chick #2, a female, was fitted with blue 095.

He does appear to be far more adventurous than 095 who is always around at fish time lol

095 finishes and flies off
07:32 Maya arrives, collects the fish and flies off
08:09 095 arrives followed by Maya with the fish
Maya holds on to the fish - 095 looks but does not attempt to take it
08:17 Maya flies off with the fish
08:29 095 returns to the nest and Maya returns with the fish which 095 takes
08:31 095 has some more fish while Maya tidies up
08:37 095 has finished and cleans her beak
08:36 095 flies off leaving Maya tidying up and the fish on the nest
08:40 33 arrives, collects the fish, has a couple of bits then flies off with it
