Emyr has also said that the LS may not go down as he could leave it on the 'Beaver Cam' so Chat can continue but the nest view and ringing will not be seen. The joy of so many camera angles.

Emyr has just confirmed that ringing will take place Thursday lunchtime. Camera will change to a different view and thus allow Chat to continue.

In the past the ringers have been subjected to abuse and in fact one very nearly stopped doing it as a result. Some people find the process intrusive so in most cases it is simply easier to close LS and produce a video for the enthusiasts later.
That's my take on it.
I bet you are counting the hours now!
