Lindybird: Hysterical!! :-)

So, so funny - in an old-fashioned straightforward way!

Walked at the canal this morning and saw TS Royalist moored there.  The lucky twins who live a few doors away sailed  on this beautiful boat a few years ago when they were sea cadets.

What a beautiful sight, dibnlib.

I made a h u g e batch of spaghetti bol tonight. Whilst I was doing it, my OH worked by my side cleaning and chopping fresh rhubarb which he'd just picked - at the weekend, I had made rhubarb pie (which we haven't had for ages). Afterwards I showed him just one stick of rhubarb which was left over, as there had been too much to go in the pie. He therefore went back to the allotment this afternoon to pick some more, to go with the lonely one & be stewed with sugar.

However, after we'd eaten a portion of the spaghetti bol, we moved something around in the kitchen and there was ..... the lonely stick of rhubarb, which he hadn't included in his pot of fruit!! I'm afraid I laughed loudly!! I did point out that it was the kind of thing I have done!

LINDYBIRD: I love rhubarb pie, but here they tend to combine it with strawberries, which defeats the whole purpose as far as I'm concerned......

Very busy day thinning the olive trees so they don't smack neighbors who are out for a walk in the face. Still more to do but managed to fill two green bins.

Good Morning. Dry here with pale sunshine at present. Annette, you've been busy in the garden lately - as good as a workout!

A morning of paperwork & pottering for me, then we are off out for lunch, whoopee!! Booked at a pub we like as a nice treat.

Our azaleas are opening in the back garden now.

This one is pretty as it starts out as a deeper colour, then changes to pale pink as it opens.
