Continued from Manton Bay – April 2021

The season so far: March 19, Blue 33(11) returned 12:29 closely followed by Maya @ 12:54. On March 30 Egg #1 was laid @ 11:45 , April 2, Egg #2 was seen @ 07:34 and on April 5 Egg #3 was laid @ 07:05 .

LAM - thanks for all the reports. What a dreadful day - this weather is awful. There seems to be no let up - it is a blessing there weren't four chicks this year as Maya would have struggled.
But thankfully you have seen the family and some fish deliveries / feeds.
Sorry I have not been about to "talk" with you but a bit poorly today so this is just a quick visit from me.
Here is a capture of the feed you mention going on just now
the chicks are just growing so fast and #2's head has darkened even more
Once fed, Maya gets the chicks back under her sheltering them from the elements. What a great mother she is.

33 did seem to be sheltering Maya earlier when the elements were at their worst
