Continued from Manton Bay – April 2021

The season so far: March 19, Blue 33(11) returned 12:29 closely followed by Maya @ 12:54. On March 30 Egg #1 was laid @ 11:45 , April 2, Egg #2 was seen @ 07:34 and on April 5 Egg #3 was laid @ 07:05 .

33 has joined Maya on the nest

Morning ALL - now 35 days since the first was egg laid
06:49 Maya rises as 33 arrives with a large, headless fish
Maya quickly grabs and flies off with it
33 takes over
07;44 33 still sitting.
Maya must really be enjoying her fish and the break!
07:54 Maya returns

33 flies off and Maya, after a quick check of the eggs, settles down

Checking back to last year, the first egg hatched on day 38.
This year Maya started incubating right away as she did last year so fingers crossed the trend continues and little one waits until this foul weather passes.
