LOCH OF THE LOWES - APRIL 2021

I have posted an edit to that news, above, just to keep the info together. Joanna doesn't know if they are siblings.

Edit: posted here so it is kept together. I have a note of a note of a KX7(17)f from Tain, Dornoch First which I think is Sutherland. A sibling perhaps.

In May 2019 she bonded with Samson at Border Ospreys (Born in the Borders). In 2020 5 April she landed at Kielder and sat with Mrs YA. She stuck around at Kielder and bonded with the former Nest 3 unringed male, KM18 on the wonderful Nest 7, the nest with the view. They are back again this year.

I agree, Nest 7 at Kielder has a fabulous backdrop!

NC0 finally received her fish from Laddie at approx. 17:45

She headed straight to the birch

19:00 NC0 took over incubation

Laddie rose from the eggs, made a short contact call then left

NC0 flew from the birch and made her way past the left side of the nest

She flapped down from the nest tree to begin her incubation duty

19:45 Laddie returned

He got so close it was almost as if he was pushing NC0 off the eggs (trying to get his own back from this morning maybe! lol) She was vocalising

Good morning all
8:12 NC0, very vocal, left the nest and headed to the birch. Laddie flew in to take over incubation

He had already visited the nest (approx. 5:45) with a crow hot on his heels during his inbound flight

Edit - A busy day for me but will try to pop on when I can. BFN

17:05(ish) Laddie delivered a fish, NC0 headed off in the direction of the birch

From what I can tell after having a very quick scroll through, NC0 has spent the majority of the day incubating
