Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

She almost had to prise Laddie off the eggs

Hi Mary
Yes, it didn't appear that Laddie was ready to leave the eggs, NC0 showed a slight dominant side to her nature there!
7:45 Laddie now has his chance to be with his eggs as he delivered breakfish to NC0

Ha Ha Sandra - Laddies no daft either - he obviously wants to incubate, so what better way to do it is by bringing NC0 her breakfish.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Lol, absolutely...it was his cunning plan!!
On a whim while scrolling thru I did a vid of NC0 sailing off to the dead birch with her fish - thank goodness it's today's footage, I'm not keeping up very well.
Thank you, SANDRA & MARY, for keeping the story going with lovely snaps
IMAGICAT
A blog was issued this morning, but I didn't have time to deal with it. Among other things it refers to an intruder on 9 April, but I can't find anything recorded here.
This is the blog, and this is the vid about the beautiful female intruder, Blue KX6(17)f from Highland - a big place to pin point a nest, LOL
Some snips from the vid
She is quite a striking looking bird.
Edit: posted here so it is kept together. I have a note of a KX7(17)f from Tain, Dornoch First which I think is Sutherland. A sibling perhaps.
In May 2019 she bonded with Samson at Border Ospreys (Born in the Borders). In 2020 5 April she landed at Kielder and sat with Mrs YA. She stuck around at Kielder and bonded with the former Nest 3 unringed male, KM18 on the wonderful Nest 7, the nest with the view. They are back again this year.

Thank you Scylla! Oooh, just look at NC0's beautiful wings!
Around 15:40, NC0 was on alert and began to chip
Laddie arrived (not immediately) and mantled, looking skyward
I did wonder why NC0 had stood up (and making a racket) but it only became clear when Laddie took flight to defend the area - he had a fish
Laddie top right
NC0 settled back on the eggs. Laddie could be heard chipping/alarm calling. I think this (on the left) was just a random bird flying
As of 16:35, Laddie has not been back to deliver the fish to NC0
