LOCH OF THE LOWES - APRIL 2021

  • 15:30(ish) Laddie delivered a headless fish. NC0 took it to her usual spot on the birch

She returned around 10 minutes later to take over incubation

Just after 16:05, Laddie spent some time on the nest with NC0. A woodpecker could be heard during his visit

  • Having emailed LOTL earlier today re the Time Stamp I have had a response saying there are no plans to add it this season.
I have pointed out that it seems to be a simple matter for the IT team.

    Hi Patily (and Mike)

If it helps, the dates (and links to the Blogs associated with each egg laid) are posted on the OP of this thread Thumbsup

  • 20:35(ish) NC0 was quite vocal on the nest, Laddie was on the birch. She flew off and headed towards and then over the birch.

Within a second or two, Laddie made his way back over the Loch to land on the nest.

NC0 returned soon after and took back the incubation from Laddie.

  • Good morning all,
Laddie took over incubation at approx. 4:55

NC0 came back less than 30 minutes later and it appeared that she gave gave Laddie a couple of slight 'kicks' to get him up from the eggs

  • Good Morning Sandra

I didn't find when Laddie took over incubation, but I am glad to see you did.

I did these screenshots so might as well post them.

NC0 on the perch before she took over

She almost had to prise Laddie off the eggs

She looks content - so hope no more intruders
