Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

Oh no Scylla, just a mere observation re the speed, that's how I watched it to grab my snaps!
I'm on an early lunch break and have seen that the unringed male made another appearance around 11:12
Laddie flew to the nest to defend once it had flown off

Later Laddie took over for a short stint, then he brought a half-fish, which NC0 only took 10 minutes to deal with and was back on the eggs again.
Only up to 14:45-ish.
IMAGICAT
Many thanks, Scylla! Laddie must have been extremely close to the nest to defend his lady from unwanted advances.
14:55ish Laddie flew in with a piece of bark
Careful with those talons, Laddie!
NC0 left Laddie to incubate
16:05 Laddie made a short contact call and took flight
Within seconds, NC0 flapped down from the nest tree
16:50 Laddie to the nest carrying a huge stick!
He struggled to drag/place it
Laddie used the stick as a perch and NC0 decided to sit down to protect the eggs from it
NC0 was fish calling and after a short while, Laddie flew off
Stick close to NC0's left side
There was a fish delivery at 18:20
NC0 took it from Laddie and flew off with it in her beak
Laddie began his incubation duty
He's still there at 19:15
19:53 NC0 back to the nest
Changeover
Just before 3 am NC0 got up for a comfort break, flapped her wings a few times, then settled back down to incubate.
Laddie appeared around an hour ago to take over incubation.
