Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

17.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays her third egg
Thanks Sandra for confirming you thought NC0 first thing too, it wasn't until I seen the intruder later I wondered if it could have been her, Laddie being the proverbial male would probably just sit there anyway no matter the female (only kidding)!

Haha, Mary, yes he probably would!!
OH NO...the intruder is back AGAIN!

Hi Billy, this is the 3rd time an unringed female has come to the nest this morning
Landed on the branch that the nest is situated on
NC0 finally showed the unringed who was in charge and it flew away
Behind the back trees and continued off to the right
NC0 made very distressed calls at the time as you can imagine. Credit to her though, she was extremely careful when side-stepping the eggs to get close to the intruder

11:15 NC0 chipping/alarm calling again!
The intruder, I think, landed in the nest tree (heard a couple of calls from it and judging by NC0's look and behaviour)
NC0 had eyes to the sky after so hopefully the intruder had taken a hint!
The intruder appears to be very determined
A bird has just taken off from the nest tree, NC0 tracked it as it flew in the direction of the birch but then skimmed the Loch and away. NC0 had been making occasional calls beforehand
11:47 Laddie returned to the nest
Scene a short time ago. NC0 fish calling
Laddie has flown
Laddie returned. Both have eyes to the sky
