Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.
11.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays an egg
14.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays her second egg
17.4.21: Blog - NC0 lays her third egg
05:20 - Laddie swooped in for a successful mating and trotted off to fish... I hope, but we'll see.
EDIT - I've BOPS'd NC0's return in the early hours, see previous page.

Good morning Scylla, Patily and Mary Thanks for the vid Scylla, relieved to see that NC0 came back to incubate in the early hours - so she was in the nest tree all along judging by the way she flapped down to the nest!
Laddie brought a piece of bark to the nest a few minutes ago, NC0 up and away - Laddie incubating. A busy day for me but i will pop on when I can. BFN

I'm so gratified - I just worked this out as 08:00-ish
She was gone less than 20 minutes and re-took-over:
We soon lost the sun. About 2 hours later Laddie returned and took over, this is NC0 flying off:
One hour later NC0 returned from this direction:
To perch, Laddie got up with a couple of loose feathers, they were both preening:
Laddie was looking over his shoulder away from us and suddenly flew:
Aftera while these 2 flew around from the birch, disappeared off-screen:
That was up to about 11:30, then Laddie returned and she got up nagging so he flew off again:
When he eventually returned he brought not a fish but...
This time he did take over:
And flew back with this!
And NC0 flew off in disgust:
Returned with a little clod in each foot:
The last so-many pictures are in the wrong order because Bro came in insisting on relating vaccine jab arrangements and South African variant test arrangements and the 3-word location of the car park, he just wouldn't stop and I got totally lost.
Laddie is currently incubating.
Brilliant captures, Scylla. Now they have cleared the tree tops it really is a beautiful nest with stunning views.

Many thanks for this mornings catch up, Scylla, and wonderful pics - ohhh, those wing shots!!
Scrolling further through, there was a headless fish delivery around 12:55 It was very gratefully received by NC0 who flew off nest to eat
At time of posting, NC0 was on incubation duty (she arrived back at the nest approx. 13:18)
