Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

Good morning all. Super vids, thanks Scylla!
A brief early morning summary:
5:35 Laddie relieved a frosty winged NC0 from her overnight duty
Just before 6:30, Laddie rose and flew off leaving the egg uncovered but it wasn't for long as NC0 flapped down from a nest tree branch
A short time ago, Laddie came to the nest and attempted to mate - NC0 was willing but he was unable to settle and appeared to slip from her back

A little after 9:15, NC0 returned to the nest with a short stick(?)
Such a sweet moment as she appeared to 'kiss' Laddie's forehead (his cue to get up I'd imagine)
Still with the 'stick', she moved into the nest cup and then placed it on the side
Laddie left
NC0 resumed incubation
Just before 9:45 Laddie came back with nesting material
NC0 has been calling for fish
He left the nest but came back a short while after then flew off again - hopefully to catch NC0's breakfish
10:38 That is not a fish, Laddie!
Laddie has flown. NC0 was occasionally fish calling while he was with her
Well done, Laddie - headless fish delivery at 11:40
NC0 flew off nest to eat.
Laddie tidied the nest cup then settled to incubate

12:36 Laddie chipping/flapping (unseen intruder)
Threat passed and his incubation duty continued
12:50 Laddie left the nest leaving the egg unattended, only briefly though as NC0 arrived back
