Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

Good to see that NC0 has eaten this morning, I was quite worried when nothing was delivered to her last evening..
NC0 continues to incubate. Laddie did pay a fleeting visit a short time ago
Laddie couldn't wait to take over a few minutes ago

About 10 minutes ago, Laddie brought a large cot rail to the nest which was momentarily put on the back of her neck! lol. NC0 gave a short contact call to say she was taking a break.
Laddie now incubating
Another large stick brought in by Laddie (there had been an earlier change of egg duty)
Approx. 15:50, another Osprey (unringed) tried to land/attempt to mate? while NC0 was incubating. She had been laying low but also on quiet alert and looking around. It was a male. She flapped it off
He tried to land on her a couple of times
Could this have been the one from yesterday? It had a wide 'mask' that was not dissimilar
Very well captured Sandra. Thanks

Phew! It's taken me ages to find it, I kept skimming right thru it
IMAGICAT
Scrolling through, I found a mating attempt (17:45ish) this time from Laddie! He had flown from the birch area to come to the nest. NC0 was not receptive, tipped him off, gave him a look and a good talking to and then flew off the nest. He settled to incubate
I am now feeling totally confused, lol, but it was definitely a male intruder this afternoon
