Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

Laddie left. There's been a very brief snow/rain shower
Unknown said:Yay, but now the work really starts for Laddie
Thankfully he has about 37 days of fairly relaxed fishing, (and perhaps trying to find other fertile females in the area to tempt with fish), before he really needs to step up to the plate with fish delivery.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
Intruder overhead! It made a brief touchdown but was courageously given its marching orders by NC0
Clearly unringed
Fish delivery and Laddie's takeover of egg sitting as reported by Billy (thank you!)
He settled to incubate for the first time
NC0 returned with her fish
She flew off with it
NC0 returned with the remainder of her fish at 16:08 She flew in via the birch corner
Laddie eyed the fish but NC0 had other ideas and left the nest with it!
Laddie back to incubating the precious egg
