Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

Thank you for your reporting today Sandra, she is standing on the nest now, she seems to have got attached to this nest now, so all we need now is an EGG!
Any time I have looked in today, she has been standing on her own on the nest. If it hadn't been for your SS of them both I wouldn't have seen Laddie at all. One time when I did look in though, NC0 was on the nest, and in the back ground two large birds flew across the loch from left to right, and damn me for saying this but the thought went through my mind that Laddie had maybe hooked up with the un ringed female that intruded. All we can do is wait and see what happens though.

Awww look at her wee face, she is screwing her eyes up against the wind. Feel a bit sorry for her now!

You're very welcome, Mary!
There was another mating around 16:35 whereby Laddie flew in and left straight after, watched it on the TV so ran to my computer to take a screenshot...just for the record, of course!
Now go get her a fish, Laddie!

16:56 FISH! Oh well done, Laddie!
She flew off carrying the fish in her beak!
Laddie has remained on the nest
NC0 has returned, just going to check if she still has the fish
Doesn't look like it...BUT on her flight away, it's there. It was quite a small, thin fish
Edit - scrolling back, she was eating on the nest (obscured by Laddie)
Laddie left the nest but both have since returned - can't see her fish
Laddie has flown

Trust you, MARY
Perish the thought!
So pleased that she got a fish, albeit half-eaten and not-fat. I've been expecting her to lay an egg any second, especially in these poor conditions - may the wind stay died down!
