Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

NC0 made a beautiful flight over the Loch to come to the nest
Within seconds of her landing...
Off he went
He headed off to the left
It's been a happily busy morning (except no fish yet) - what a treat to watch.
Chilling together:
I, too, was struck by NC0's perching on the front of the nest - she had her beady eye on whatever was going on below:
IMAGICAT
Fish delivered albeit a small one
NC0 took it (and a stick) off to the birch
NC0 returned to the nest approx. 12:45, she spurned Laddie's mating attempt
Such a lovely sight to see - hopefully an egg next week?
He took her by surprise while she was alone on the nest but mating was successful
16:26 Off-cam mating heard. There were a couple of soft calls just prior so assume NC0 is sitting in the nest-cam tree
18:38 Loud calls 30 or so minutes ago. NC0 came to the nest - fish calling
Laddie delivered a fish at 18:30ish. She tracked his flight, from left to right, over the Loch
NC0 flew off with it in the direction of the birch but then did a right turn (possibly because there was a corvid or two on the birch) and headed back over the Loch (behind the trees/nest) and out of view
Have noticed over the past couple of days (at various times), a swarm of insects (unable to ID) hovering to the left and over the the nest, hope they're not going to bother the Ospreys. One of them has landed on the cam lens
