Arrival dates
Laddie 21.3.21
NC0 25.3.21
It has been great to witness Laddie (LM12) and NC0 renew their bond and also begin to make a safe and cosy nest for impending eggs. It is encouraging to watch NC0 much more comfortable in her surroundings and hope that all continues goes well for them both from here on in.

Around 12:50 There was activity in the top left corner of the screen. Laddie? flew from across the Loch down behind and past the dead birch. Flew up to a trunk...did he make a catch?
The bird is still on the dead tree Edit - it's just flown off behind the birch

13:12 It has now flown atop of the left side dark trunk
13:19 NC0 has flown off to the left out of cam view
13:45 NC0 back to the nest. Bird still on birch trunk
Fish! So it was him! Laddie flew from the top of the dead birch trunk to the right, over the Loch and round to the nest
Headless fish gratefully received by NC0
She flew off with it to the same birch tree trunk as Laddie had occupied
Laddie left the nest afterwards
Thank you, SANDRA, for pages of magnificent captures
I'm off for a nap or 6.
IMAGICAT
My pleasure!
If I had to pick a location to hang out on a sunny bank holiday I can't think of many better places than here.
It's so peaceful and what an outlook.
The winter work on the nest has certainly improved it.

Scrolling back to NC0 on the perch, Laddie came to the nest and that's when I noticed she had her fish underfoot.
She flew off with it but then came back to the nest
NC0 still has the tail end of the fish which she was not giving up to Laddie. He did try to take it on two occasions
Laddie left the nest.
Scene at the moment
Laddie came to the nest, looked at the fish remnant but NC0 decided to fly off with it in the direction of the birch where she landed
