Morning All

There was a change over at 03.22 am (still 3 eggs) 33(11) took over incubation duties, and is still there at 05.56 am.

Maya just returned with a big clump of bedding and is pretty much doing what 33 was doing yesterday evening except that she has got her way 33 fies off andMaya settles to incubate

07:47   33 arrives and wants on the eggs but Maya is staying put.  He then just snuggles down next to her

Looks like it is just going to be "three" this year which is fine and I always think is actually enough for them.to raise.  I suppose Maya is getting older too but the main thing is that all goes well and the chicks are healthy. :-)

Karen I was watching that little episode, it really looks like 33(11) is checking up on Maya to see if she has laid a 4th egg, it was so funny, he just about had his head underneath her looking ha ha....  I am uploading a video of it now, what a pair they are.    The very fact Maya got up to let him see then settled back down again makes me think she was saying "look 33, there is still just 3"

I know Mary - he really is hilarious and one of the reasons I enjoy watching this nest so much.

But it is as if he is checking LOL Perhaps he is calculating the amount of fish he needs to catch or on a mission to beat his dad's record!

I don't know about them but I'm very happy with "just" three - a bit less stressful for us.

33 comes to the nest mantling and following something Maya alert too
