Perhaps we will see egg #2 laid later today, if not tomorrow.
And of course we are all wondering if we will see another clutch of four this season?
Happy viewing everyone!
Site still painfully slow but here are some captures from this morning
09:31 – 09:58
33 incubating and flies off when Maya returns with the fish which she leaves at the side of the nest and settles down to incubate. 33 arrives a few minutes later and flies off with the fish.
11:11 –12:09
Maya flies off (clearly see still just the one egg) and 33 returns with the fish. Maya returns, grabs the fish and flies off. 33 settles down to incubate.
12:09 - present
Maya returns with the fish and 33 flies off. Fish left side of nest and Maya settles down to incubate
IMAGICAT
Filling in from when KAREN left off - what a reassuringly uneventful afternoon and evening (according to me!). My "batch downsizer" jumbled the snaps and I cannot read the times prior to posting so they may not be in the right order.
A changeover, of which there were several:
Maya ate the half fish:
A highlight was this bale of hay:
Making sure it's still there:
Maya did not raise her tail for the only mating attempt I caught:
No more fish.
