March thread.
This post updated 01 June
MrsG returned on the 25th of March and was joined by Aran on the 29th.
(The beginning of the reunion video is a must-see for all fans of MrsG - I'm posting it today 01 June, to remind us of a happy time before the tragedies of May 2021.)
The month of May brought unrelenting wind, rain and corvids, as well as persistent intruder KS8 (among others) - and Aran somehow injured his right wing, rendering him unable to fish. Within a few days all the chicks had sickened and died. It could hardly have been more stressful for MrsG and Aran, but they are recovering together while the caring Glaslyn team is supplying fish each night.
(The chicks' bodies have been removed from the nest by Aran and MrsG, so we shall never know the cause of their deaths.)
In the right margin of this page are links to Glaslyn's posts documenting the misfortunes on the nest.

Birdies LG DU update.
Just a couple of snaps from today, to show willing, then I'm off yet again.
Aran's leftover:
A fine whole fish in the afternoon:
Plauged by a gang of noisy corvids.......on the perch, cam post and flying around

It's enough to make us all very ill with wonder - I did a video to save agonising over good enough snaps/frames.
MrsG (I think) was on the nest 2-3 times during the night, as if there was an intruder suspected. The last time Aran joined her and stayed a while:
Then he went to the perch and stayed there until zooming in for EMN:
And another!
Aran stayed on the nest with MrsG - that's up to 07:00.
Your video of the handsome Aran was fab SCYLLA - did you tweak the settings a bit - or was it just extra beautiful light at the time.?

My settings are always tweaked, MARY - often inappropriately because I forget to change them between cams. However, I think it was very good light for Aran at that time.
Just a quick look thru yesterday, no times, no packdrill
Aran with a not-whopper - he was looking up between bites:
MrsG got some too.
Quite a lot of together time.
I wonder if there was an intruder - but without the real time Chat, who knows, and who knows if it was Aeron?
To nest:
To sky:
Someone in sky but only one seen on cam and it didn't last long:
We need a proper catchup - I couldn't see much of Aran for the later hours and don't know where MrsG roosted, not on cam evening/night.
All is well.
MrsG arrived well over 2 hours ago:
1h30m++ later:
Aran's gone somewhere and MrsG is currently waiting patiently:
Kind regards, Ann
