Diane:  Thank you!  Left Prescott Valley at 6:30 a.m.; got home at 5:30 p.m.  - that made 11 hours of driving today. vs. 8;30 hours on the outbound trip.  Was doing fine until Thousand Palms, where the highway dropped to three lanes and a major link to  Riverside was closed, putting all the traffic on the I--10.  Not a fun drive, but home now after a good visit.  Plan to loll tomorrow...

ANNETTE – Glad you are back safe & sound. 11 hours driving? I hope you had some stops to stretch the legs, rest the eyes, and to “feed & water”.

• Our road still closed except for access but despite all the warning signs, cars are still driving down and having to reverse... Two idiots picked up one of the traffic cones and walked up the street throwing it about. I shouted at them so I hope that they won't come back later after dark and do damage here...my children say I should ignore these things but my mouth opens before my brain is in gear at times!
