I have missed something this morning - a potential intruder?
I think Mistle was on the nest 10.22.50 when she suddenly took off back and to the left.
10.24.32 an osprey flew left to right behind the nest
10.25.00 Mistle returned to the nest and appeared to defend it against as intruder
Axel/Intruder? came down and landed on the campost, but Mistle was having none of it
and saw whoever off
10.25.19 she is still looking defensive - her wings are still slightly mantled
and she is still like this, looking above, until 10.27 when she stood up properly and started food soliciting and the cam panned back
This is where my earlier report started.
So was there an intruder, or did she just not like or want Axel around?

Les Carr
Well, there's another attempt going on just now. They returned together. Whether successful or not I don't know
Edit that was totally unsuccessful. The look in her eyes as he lowered on her back! She didn't even raise her tail, and he was standing up on her shoulders. Oh dear.
I have certainly not kept count, and haven't got a book to tick boxes as and when either, Les! Those were the days
This might have been successful. Axel's tail is well under her tail
She flew off and after a few minutes has returned to the campost
13.04 Axel joined Mistle on the nest, and he immediately set about nestorising which Mistle food solicited.
13.06 a successful mating, and Axel has flown
and back. Mistle is continuing to food solicit
13.11 It's so lovely to see Axel land on the nest and not go into a faux mantle!!! It's taken a while
But how long can he stand the chattering!!
13.13 he has left, off right
On dear, Jane, that sound uncomfortable, or inconvenient! Axel has been at it again, twice, so far. First was successful, the second he just 'stood standing' on her back before flying off!
