I think it may have just been a stonechat on the top of the camera post. Happy to be corrected.
Summary video of the 2 Osprey visits - I think my version is more grainy than MARY's, as well as being so late!
Mary, I took the liberty of including a still of the blue darvic from your video, it's much better altho still illegible* - but someone might recognise the pattern of digits.
*And I think WindowsMovieMaker has blurred it because it's a different aspect ratio
The same snap with an extra layer of "sharpen", whether it does any good or not...

Ahhhhh! But I think it was Peter who said in his post yesterday at around 8 in the evening............... 'The microphone should be live and online over the next few days.' I personally can't wait - sound adds so much to enhance behavioural interpretation. PLUS it gives you an audible warning of a bird landing on the nest or close to the microphone!
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
Unknown said:That is correct about the microphone. A few more plugs, sockets and adaptors should sort it
I am more than happy to give the return of the microphone many more plugs in chat if that helps at all. I told you I was a technophobe.

Hello Mary and scylla. I really appreciate your efforts to video this bird. I've watched Mary's on YouTube, slowly clicking frame by frame. The best I can come up with (the view is best at the very beginning) is AY6 or AX6 or possibly a 5 at the end? No record I can find of this number on UK Ospreys though. Other eyes appreciated!!
I think it is AX6 too Korky, and I see that AX0 and AX8 are both ringed in 2016 Nr. Inverness so could be ringer for that area has that set of ring numbers.
