Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

They can zoom out for us (thank you!) it would be nice to see them zoom in closer too.
Presently they are both on the nest, one has a fish. Unfortunately I have to take my eye off them so didn't see any handover from her to him, but from behaviour I would say that she still has the fish.

OOOh, thank you. Perhaps they saw my earlier comment! It was AX6 on the tree to the left on an outlier branch. He spotted Mistle come in, flew to the knobbly end of the tree and mantles. AX6 landed on the nest and he flew over, trying to land on her back. But she was having none of it and he flew off and landed on back on the nest. 16.25 he has flown again... and returned with a stick!!

And back.....gerrofff me. And he flies off again, and she has a good flap to rearrange her feathers!

We used to have names for the local perches at one time, but I'm not sure I can remember them all now. The Fish Perch, favoured by EJ for obviously eating her fish. The Love Perch where she and Odin sat during the last failed year. And I think there was another.

We knew he was 'on site 'because of the constant food soliciting from the female, but it took us a long time moving the camera before we eventually found it.
The cry for food!! Such a giveaway of a presence, even if unseen by us!

Well, I'm not sure what went on at all. When AX6 returned I am not sure whether he brought a fish which became snagged on a sticky stick, or whether he spotted a leftover piece of fish under a sticky stick, but he has a real faff with it!
It think he might have found a piece of fish, but I'm not sure. Having sorted it, he flew off.... and returned within a couple of minutes. He is now mantling on the nest with the female behind him!
I'll be going shortly, but it is heart warming to see the camera on the nest, and more importantly to see a pair, bonding.
