RSPB Giving Nature a Home
I do hope that the new pair, if they stay at Llyn Brenig will have an undisturbed and peaceful season, because Blue 24 and HR7 certainly didn't end of last season.
Maybe it is the optimist in me but until there is a recovery I don't like to write birds off. Many have turned up after years of disappearing like Yellow 37 and White YA, both males and many miles from their natal nest.
As for pairs moving I know of one instance in Perthshire where an established pair of 10 years nest was destroyed over the winter, there was a platform put up for them but I thought it was too close to the road and it was never used, it was eventually taken down. I believe it was reported (cannot remember where) but this pair established a nest still in the area, but not close to their original nest.
This was in 2013 and the road was where the fence was in the distance.
5F/Seren doing a Mrs.G look-a-like
Dylan brought a tail end, but then flew off with it. I am sure he will bring a nice big fish for 5F eventually.

Well there is no denying Dylan's mating skills.... Like how he stays up there to have a look around.
