Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Peter-Carnyx has done a wonderful job on this cam this season, IMVHO
As usual, Seren spent hours waiting for a fish
Dylan flew in, landed sideways, slid right off:
Dylan did what he does best - ignored her fish calls:
It's nearly 2 o'clock in the afternoon, she was hopeful this time but...
She brought her own fine fish @ 15:46:
Oh boy, the above was posted literally hours ago, since when I've been tangled up and making mistakes in a video of Aeron's visit - which was much more substantial than we may have realised.
Quite a lot of nestorising went on, and he even made an attempt to join or evict Dylan but he lost out in the end.
I'd like to call Dylan a dead-beat dad/hubby - but remind myself that he raised a wonderful family with Seren last season.
IMAGICAT
Youtube chat reports that 5F had a rainbow trout from Dylan at 8.19 this morning but she brought it back around 10 minutes later for Dylan. It appeared he was a bit lackadaisical at this stage last year, Remember he got 10 chicks to fledging over 4 years with Delyth, and then fledged 3 solid lads with 5F last year. He'll be fine.
Picture © John Williams taken this morning from the far side of the reservoir, showing Seren eating her trout, the camera and the new perch, with backdrop.

Blue 5F is waiting not so patiently for her fish lunch. It looks beautiful over in the west of the country
